Ping, a founding and managing partner, has more than 25 years of management and investment experience including 17 years with GE. At GE Asset Management Incorporated ("GEAMI”), Ping was a managing director and responsible for a total of US$ 5 billion assets including the Emerging Markets (US$ 3.5 billion in AuM), China Equity (US$ 400 million in AuM) and China A (US$ 480 million in AuM) portfolios.

Ping initiated GE China Equity Fund in July 2002. The fund had achieved 22.1% annualized return for the past 9 years and has been one of the top funds in the industry. The GE emerging market fund, which was managed by Ping and one other fund manager, was ranked top ten in 2006.

Cicy Wu  CFA

Founding and Managing Partner ●   Portfolio Manager

Cicy, a founding and managing partner of Bin Yuan Capital, has more than 10 years investment experience including 8 years with GE. At GE Asset Management Incorporated ("GEAMI”), Cicy was the assistant portfolio manager for the China Equity Strategy (AuM US$ 400 million) and China A-shares (AuM US$ 480 million). She joined GE Asset Management in 2006, and prior to that, she worked as an analyst of corporate finance in various GE business.

Cicy and Ping are co portfolio managers for two strategies in Bin Yuan Capital since 2013, Greater China Strategy and China A strategy. Both strategies have delivered very strong performance since then. Binyuan Capital has attracted large International institutions that include pension funds, endowments and foundations, and family offices.

Frieda Luo

COO

Frieda joined Bin Yuan Capital in December 2012.  She is the Chief Operating Officer and manages the operations of the firm and its funds. She works closely with outsourced service providers, both in China and internationally, to supervise the firm’s risk control, compliance, and legal issues. In her role as Chief Compliance Manager, Frieda oversees compliance and internal controls to ensure that there are no breaches of compliance or operational rules and that Bin Yuan’s operations remain compliant with applicable laws and regulations in all jurisdictions. 
 
Before joining Bin Yuan, Frieda worked at HSBC Securities Services in the Operations department in Shanghai for more than five years.  

Frieda graduated from Chongqing Technology and Business University with a BA degree in economics. She is fluent in English and Mandarin. 

Lily Qian  CFA

Partner ●   Portfolio Manager

Lily Qian is Director of Research and co-portfolio manager for the Bin Yuan Healthcare Fund.  
Lily joined Bin Yuan Capital in September 2012 from GEAM China where she was the analyst for the China Equity strategy ($470 million) and China A Share strategy ($480 million).  
Lily started her career in 2008 as an analyst in corporate finance in General Electric’s China healthcare business and moved to GEAM China in 2010 where she covered the healthcare, automotive, finance, property and industrials sectors. She became Director of Research in 2019 and co-portfolio manager of the Bin Yuan Healthcare Fund upon its launch in 2021. 
Lily holds a Bachelor of Economics from Fudan University in Shanghai in 2008 and a Master of Business Administration from The University of Hong Kong in 2019. She is fluent in Mandarin and English.  

Tiffany Xue

Trading Risk & Fund Accounting Manager

Tiffany is trading risk & fund accounting manager based in Shanghai. The main responsibilities of her are supervising on trading risk control, settlement, reconciliation and fund accounting. Before joining the company in September 2012, Tiffany was graduated from Michigan State University in United States, holds a Bachelor of Arts degree with Finance major. She is a native of Shanghai, China and speaks English and Mandarin fluently.
